Deuteronomy Introduction
The book of Deuteronomy is the last of the five books of Moses,
commonly called "The Pentateuch". Deuteronomy means 'second law'
because in this book Moses restates God's Law for the new
generation that is about to go in and claim the 'Promised Land' .
How often does God repeat Himself in Scripture so that the hearers
(in our case readers) will get what He is saying and obey Him.
