We see the care of babies and toddlers as a ministry to both the
children and their parents.
Our nursery volunteers have completed a child protection
screening and referencing procedure, and have been instructed in
all nursery policies.
We offer care for babies and toddlers during both the Sunday
School hour and the Worship Service. We have two nursery rooms to
accommodate children from birth through 3 years.
The infant nursery (available during both
Sunday School and Worship service) is designed for the newborn up
to about 24 months. During the Sunday School hour, once a child
turns two, he moves from the infant nursery to a toddler class.
During the Worship Service, infants through 24 months are cared for
in the infant nursery, while 2 and 3 year olds are cared for in the
toddler nursery across the hall. Some children may move to the
toddler nursery as early as 18 months if they are steady walkers
and parents feel the move would be beneficial.
The toddler nursery (available only during the
Worship Service-during Sunday School, toddlers have their own
class) is designed for children ages 2-3 years old (or children as
young as 18 months if they are steady walkers). The toddler nursery
care for the Worship Service automatically follows for those who
attend the 2-3 year old Sunday School class. Once a child turns 4,
he joins his parents for the first part of the Worship Service, and
may be dismissed part way through (if parents desire) for the Children's
Worship time.
We desire to provide a loving, nurturing and Christ-centered
environment for our children. Good behavior is encouraged, and
inappropriate behavior is dealt with by verbal promptings,
time-outs, and contacting parents if necessary. We will not spank
or physically punish any child.
Nursery care is also available for children ages 0-3 years
during Wednesday evening
prayer service, during Missions Conference, and during special
Sunday evening services.
