In the resurrection, God, in essence, says that He accepts what Jesus has done on our behalf. But also, He will accept anyone who is associated with Jesus in the same way that He accepts Jesus (the Bible uses a term, 'in Jesus' or 'in Christ' to describe this association). He tells us that we become associated with Jesus when we have faith that Jesus has lived for us, died for us, and has been raised from the dead so that we might have eternal life. When we have that faith or trust in Jesus we are placed 'in Him' and we are then accepted by God in the same way that Jesus is.
