There is nothing that you can do or give to God to gain His salvation because He requires a perfectly pure life-the life He created us to live - which none of us can give to Him. There is nothing that you can sacrifice in order to gain His salvation because what we deserve for our sin against Him is His anger and justice-we deserve death. That's why Jesus is our salvation-He has lived the life we do not live and He died the death that we deserve so that we might have life through faith in Him. Simply put, Jesus is our salvation and we are placed in Him through faith.
