Children’s Sunday School & Children's Church
Children's Church is a special time during the morning worship service for children ages 4 years through grade 2 to have a time of worship at their level. Their time together is designed to help prepare them to understand and participate in the full sanctuary worship service when they enter 3rd grade. They learn through fellowship, singing, praying, hearing and participating in Scripture readings, listening to Bible lessons, and doing activities that reinforce the main theme of the Bible lesson. They memorize passages of Scripture together. After Sunday School, the children have a song time from 10:00 -10:15 and then a snack and restroom break from 10:15 - 10:30. They join the adults in the sanctuary for the first part of the worship service and return to the Children's Wing for Children's Church.
We see the care of babies and toddlers as a ministry to both the children and their parents. We offer care for babies and toddlers (birth - 3 yrs.) during both Sunday School and the Worship service. Our nursery volunteers have completed a child protection screening, which includes having background clearances (in compliance with Pennsylvania law for volunteers having direct contact with children) and a referencing procedure.
